colorful hanging macramé potted succulent
Looking for bright and fun wedding décor ideas? Don’t worry, we won’t leave you hanging! These adorable potted succulents in macramé hangers are just the thing to add a pop of color to your ceremony or reception space. We’ll show you how easy they are below!
Step 1 |
Use your foam cutting tool to cut the floral bricks into pieces that’ll fit inside the clay pot. Fill the pot with foam pieces from its base up to about 1" from the top edge. TIP: You’ll eventually fill the remaining 1" of the pot withmoss, so that it covers the foam, but that’s not until Step 3. |
Step 2 |
Use your floral cutters to shorten the succulent stem, then push the stem into the foam at the very center of the pot. |
Step 3 |
Fill the remaining space in the pot with moss, covering the exposed foam. To hold the moss in place, cut several short pieces of wire and bend each one into a ‘U’ shape. Push the ends of each ‘U’ shaped wire through the moss and into the foam. This will anchor the moss in place. |
Step 4 |
All that’s left to do is to place your pot inside the macramé hanger and then hang it. |
Step 5 |
Optional: Repeat Steps 1-4 to create as many hanging succulent pots as you’d like. Share your project photos with #MakeItWithMichaels |
