Given the price of the item maybe my expectations were too high. I found the item to be too "brittle", the top portion of the cone broke off while holding it to stablize the come while working at the bottom.

Worked great in a pinch!
Needed a cylinder to place into a tall papier mache vase to root origami flowers on wire stems for a school project. I cut off a section at the base to get the desired length, stuffed it into the neck of the vase, added the stems along with some shredded green paper to conceal the white color, and voila! Instant success!

Easy to use!
To be totally honest I was totally taken aback when I went shopping for foam balls and other shapes! Now that I know what to expect though I have a better perspective. This foam piece was easy to use and I didn't have to fight with it to push pins in and didn't shrivel away with a touch of hot glue. Overall, happy with the product!
