Sadly, some gems are painted.
I knew the lower price was too good to be true. The green ones are painted, so I can’t use them for their intended purpose as the green will eventually come off. You can see where I’ve scraped off the paint. I wish I hadn’t bought so many of them!

Found online - even prettier in person
I ordered these colorful glass gems online for store pickup and when the clerk handed them to me I was so pleased. They are really striking colors and so pretty. Can't wait to use them in my yard decor project.
